Wine – N. E. Skull

Let’s get drunk and kiss each other,

Let’s be empty wine glass lovers,

And when we look down at the cars

Let’s pretend they’re shooting stars.

  2. I just wanted to drop a quick line while I am, at the moment, an “empty brandy glass lover”. This is a truly wonderful poem. Just a few lines, that speaks eternities from the heart. What is spoken from the heart, mingles with the songlight of eternity. Thank you, sincerely, for sharing it. ❤

  3. Is the photograph yours? It’s wonderful. Do you know the Ben Jonson poem “Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes”? It contains the lines “Or leave a kiss but in the cup / And I’ll not ask for wine.” That’s what this poem reminded me of. Thanks for visiting my blog and liking my most recent post.

  4. i’ll drink the toast and kiss your lips if you just give me a twist (lemon twist )
but I would prefer to be the wine that you drink that makes you happy.

  5. “Let’s be empty wine glass lovers”
Most beautiful imagery I’ve seen in a while. I’ve had so many wine glass lovers lately, to forget that one unforgettable.

  6. Let’s get drunk and kiss each other,

    fermenting our lusting with loving

Let’s be empty wine glass lovers,

    passions filling casks fermenting

And when we look down at the cars

    lacking our sensuality

    Let’s pretend they’re shooting stars.

    winging us beyond carnality

    …further up & further in…^^~~~~
